About Me

D. Hughston Armstrong

"Create a strong foundation and then bridge the gaps."

I completed my Master's in Health, Exercise and Sport Science at The Citadel, the military college of South Carolina. As a cadet and graduate, I played baseball as an outfielder for the Bulldogs and enjoyed the food and fun that Charleston had to offer! My next step took me to NYC, where I received my Master's in Acupuncture from Tri-State College of Acupuncture. During that time, I trained in multiple martial arts, and had the opportunity to work with an amazing group of physical therapists and specialists, at several of Orthology's locations throughout Manhattan.

Since completing my schooling, I've worked with athletes from recreational youth levels, all the way up to Olympic competitors, and have had the opportunity to serve first responders, active duty military, and our Veteran population.

When I'm not in a treatment room or on the floor coaching, I enjoy listening to audiobooks and traveling with my wife. So far we've been to 6 countries together and are excited for the next adventures to come!

My Philosophy

Health is a complex structure, and it can be broken down into simple pillars. Simple, not easy. Through physical activity, nutrition, and mindfulness practices, you will create an optimal lifestyle for preparation, performance, resilience, and recovery.

Through structured assessment and collaboration, we will create appropriate short and long term goals, action steps to achieve those goals, and education tailored to your needs as you pursue the lifestyle you want to want to have.
